Pleated skirts and crop-tops, what better combo for spring!!! I know the pleated skirt is loud but hey, if you’re not going to take a risk on your outfits then whats the point of living?! (lol) So I went with touches of hot pink like the necklace, which is so old but comes in handy many times for me when I’m wearing neutral colors and need that loud statement piece. These earrings are so in right now and can go with anything. The cross body bag is also another item I’ve owned for a while now. I took it on my trip to New Jersey and New York a while ago and till this day I still get compliments on it, it’s spacious and fits everything I need in a small bag. The crop top is a basic top from H&M and is so versatile! It can be dressed up or down depending on the look you want. The skirt is perfect for brunch, baby showers, and dinner dates, etc… The color is in right now and not to mention, right up my alley. I added camel-colored heels to the outfit just to tone it down a bit since the focus of the outfit was the yellow and hot pink.

P.S. Sorry for the disgusting nails and hair! I always have them done and for some reason, this day I was a hot mess and the weather was horrible towards the end of the shoot

P.P.S Now, I just had to mention this location! Jesus, I can shoot every look at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. I’m so in love with the old feel, colors, and architecture, it’s beyond amazing!!!

When you think of spring and the fashion essentials that are needed … what comes to my mind is rompers! Rompers for fashion bloggers are probably one of the easiest pieces of clothing to own. Rompers make life 1000 x easier because you don’t have to pull together a outfit from scratch. All it takes is some accessories, the right shoes and your ready to go. I wore this romper to the first ever Coral Gables Fashion Week (check it out on my Instagram @mimosaandpumps) – the colors are just right for spring, a pale pink with purple flowers. I added nude lace up heels, paired it with a nude bracelet, and the infamous purple bag that I posted for my (Fall in line) post too, which screamed my name when I walked in to the store! Had to buy it! 20150507-RIV_343220150507-RIV_3438 20150507-RIV_3444 20150507-RIV_3445 20150507-RIV_3450 20150507-RIV_3464 20150507-RIV_3467 20150507-RIV_3471 20150507-RIV_3472 20150507-RIV_3473 20150507-RIV_3504 20150507-RIV_3560 20150507-RIV_3576 20150507-RIV_3616 20150507-RIV_3618 What are your spring essentials? I had the honor to attend Fashoom fashion Happy Hour as a special guest blogger, which just so happened to be my first event as a special guest and it was perfect! It was an awesome night full of shopping, meeting new people, and my favorite – blogging!!! I was able to mingle and meet so many incredible people from clothing boutiques, jewelry boutiques, self-defense boutiques, incredibly talented artist, and entrepreneurs.

Now on to my specialty: the OOTN!!! I decided to stand out… literally. I could have been spotted from a mile away when I put on this bold cheetah number on. The dress is from Tobi.com and has the perfect spring colors, I was iffy on the print but hey, how can you go wrong with cheetah print right? The fit and length were perfect and the cut out in front of the dress too. I went with black for the accessorizes and shoes because the dress was loud enough on it’s own. These heels are going to be sticking around for a while (trust me) because they are so versatile and can be worn so many different ways. To match the shoes is the clutch which has the similar print and I added a spiked statement bracelet which was a hit (everyone loved it)! Overall, successful night and I’m so grateful Fashion Happy Hour and Fashoom let me attend and was able to provide my spring trends to everyone.
