20150621-RIV_4937Miami is starting to feel like a burning hot oven and all I want to wear is a bikini … everywhere I go. Unfortunately, I can’t and so this calls for t-shirt dresses. T-shirt dresses are definitely in style this summer and since they are loose fitting and breathable, it calls for a perfect summer Miami outfit. I decided on this print because you can never go wrong with a white & black striped pattern. To add a bit more of my style – I decided on a denim top and tied it around my waist (it’s way too hot to wear a long sleeve right now!). I decided on these cheetah slip-ons because I love print mixing and took the risk but if you want to go towards a more simple direction, white converse can also do the work. Since this dress is basically just a t-shirt but longer, jewelry is a must! I went with a very chunky statement necklace that I love to add to simple solid shirts. I also came across a matching finger ring at Forever21, which I just had to have it when I saw it. I went with a camel colored cross body bag to go with the slip-ons. These Rayban’s are a funny story because I use to work at Champs Sports and very rarely, items would go on super sale and we would find out about them last minute – this is how I found these puppies, they appeared for 1 cent! Again, this outfit is perfect for any occasion whether it be to go shopping, or just throw on a pair of Jeffery Campbell Litas and wearing it for a night out. Hopefully this helps those ladies that needed outfit ideas for this scorching heat we have going on in Miami.

So I don’t know about y’all but I have to have coffee in the morning in order to even function for the remainder of the day. I decided to go for more of a 70’s look because these House of Harlow high-rise flare jeans are so in style right now and fashion trends from the past are coming back! These jeans are so flattering and hug all the right places. The length of the jeans cause me to wear tall heels or wedges – and when I wear flare-cut denims, I always lean more towards high wedges for that extra “oomph” because god knows I need it due to my 4″11 height! It was only right that I added a camel colored floppy hat to match the color of the heels which you can’t see but makes me feel good inside that I match always. To go with my hat and 70’s style, what better sunnies than circle sunglasses? Yes please! Then, I added this black cross body bag from Forever21. I didn’t do to much with accessories here for this look due to the jeans being the statement and the hat, but I did go with three gold rings and some Alex and Ani bracelets that i never seem to take off. My vision for a 70’s boho vibe came out perfectly.

Summer Fun

Edit1 Edit2 Edit3 Edit4 Edit5 Edit6 Edit Edit7

Summer has officially begun and this calls for fedoras, sunflowers, bubbles, and shorts! This outfit totally envisions what my summer outfits will consist of: a lot of flowy shirts, shorts, sandals, and a lot of accessories. This top can be worn so many different ways: dress it up for a weekend with the girls, with some jeans and wedges, or dress it down, as I did here, for a day having fun out on the town. I love the color burgundy, and the concept of the off the shoulder top; I feel gives it such an elegant touch. I decided to pair the shirt with some distressed denim boyfriend shorts because Miami is way to hot too be wearing skin-tight jeans. To give the outfit color I decided to add snake skin gladiators, and a fedora for that summer feel. On to accessories, this pearl necklace that I’ve been getting a lot of use of is the perfect final touch to any shirt that has a low neckline, yet another elegant, but inexpensive touch.

Thanks to Angie from @Alectricvisuals for shooting this look, and making me feel like a grown up kid again; make sure to go ahead and check out her website. Stay safe and dry, also a side note all the clothing items tagged below are either similar, or same style items just in a different colors, but all pieces still work together to make an outfit, I got y’all, always.;)
