It’s crazy how times flies and the saying: everything happens “in the blink of an eye” is so true. It’s been 2 years that I’ve been in this blogging world and even though it’s not what I envisioned because I wish I could post more often, it’s still something I take pride in and love to do. I’m always saying that I am going to be more consistent with my posts but unfortunately, we live in a world that can get unpredictable – anyway, shut up Cristina! Onto the fashion, please (lol).

“Summer Summer Summer time” Summer is unbearable in Miami, I feel like this year has been brutal … it feels like you’re a melting popsicle that has been left outside in the hot sun. This anniversary I didn’t fancy it up like I did for my first year anni. I went for a very summery look – a loose denim off-the-shoulder dress. This cute little denim dress is light and breathable for being denim material yet if you’re looking for a tighter piece, this dress also comes in a more fitting style. Another item that has resurfaced after being gone for years are choker necklaces. I remember being little and wearing the black plastic ones everywhere and now they are back in style!

I have been looking for the perfect choker necklace and hadn’t really come across any that I fell in love with. I was in Hobby Lobby and decided to roam around the store and ended up in an isle that had every color suede cord and the light bulb in my head turned on to make my own necklaces. So I bought the same color cord as my shoes and made a choker – it worked out great. Onto my fav part of the outfit: my shoes! These heels are so comfortable because they have a chunky heel and the caged look is fitting on your foot. I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully, I can continue blogging more outfits to keep doing what I love. Happy 2nd Birthday, Mimosa and Pumps!!!!!!!!!

What better way to show Spring has arrived than dressing in floral print, like come on … so perfect! This dress is airy and appropriate for any occasion including: baby showers, lunch dates, or weekend errands. I love that the top part of this dress is navy blue and supportive enough that I don’t have to wear a bra if I choose not to (lol). Depending where you are going, you can either style this dress up or dress it down like I did. If you are aiming for a more “going out” look, pair it with these heels and you are ready to take on the day/night!

DSC07349 DSC07374 DSC07379 DSC07324 I know this isn’t the outfit you envision when stepping out of your home, and into this 90 degree Miami weather but like they say, “beauty is pain”. When AlectricVisuals reached out to me and said she wanted to do a summertime urban look, I knew just the outfits to pull together. So, obviously you can’t go out anywhere with jeans on, so shorts are all you’ll be seeing this summer, I guarantee you. I just didn’t want to throw on a graphic tee- that’s just not me- unless I’m dressing it up, and since this was a more urban casual look, I went with a faux black vest, and a plaid shirt tied around my waist. Now if any one knows me, you know I’m obsessed with tying any long sleeve around my waist and calling it a day, it’s my current obsession. Now I only wore this beanie because it matched the whole look but I don’t recommend wearing a beanie now, because not only will you mess up your perfect hair that you worked on all morning for, but also I’m assuming your head will probably catch on fire because of the oven we are currently living in (lol). If you want to wear something on your head go for a baseball cap, not a beanie. And, also, add some accessories and your set to hit up Wynwood and go bar hopping with this look.

20150621-RIV_4937Miami is starting to feel like a burning hot oven and all I want to wear is a bikini … everywhere I go. Unfortunately, I can’t and so this calls for t-shirt dresses. T-shirt dresses are definitely in style this summer and since they are loose fitting and breathable, it calls for a perfect summer Miami outfit. I decided on this print because you can never go wrong with a white & black striped pattern. To add a bit more of my style – I decided on a denim top and tied it around my waist (it’s way too hot to wear a long sleeve right now!). I decided on these cheetah slip-ons because I love print mixing and took the risk but if you want to go towards a more simple direction, white converse can also do the work. Since this dress is basically just a t-shirt but longer, jewelry is a must! I went with a very chunky statement necklace that I love to add to simple solid shirts. I also came across a matching finger ring at Forever21, which I just had to have it when I saw it. I went with a camel colored cross body bag to go with the slip-ons. These Rayban’s are a funny story because I use to work at Champs Sports and very rarely, items would go on super sale and we would find out about them last minute – this is how I found these puppies, they appeared for 1 cent! Again, this outfit is perfect for any occasion whether it be to go shopping, or just throw on a pair of Jeffery Campbell Litas and wearing it for a night out. Hopefully this helps those ladies that needed outfit ideas for this scorching heat we have going on in Miami.

Basic Festival Bitch

I know this is harsh but it’s true and I’m here to help those girls that don’t want to go as dressed up to festivals and think crop tops and just shorts are going to do. If you think neon colors, pasties, bodysuits, high tops, graphic 90’s tee’s are festival material – you’re half way wrong! Unless you attend Ultra, that’s a whole other story because then that’s some what acceptable.
So I decided to take the basic essentials and dress those up just a tad and make a chic-yet-boho look. Crochet or lace are a must for me… it’s probably the only occasion I can wear those and not to mention this shirt is crochet, off the shoulder, and cropped. Instead of going for high wasted jean shorts, I switched it up and added color by wearing colored shorts. Since this post is mainly for Coachella Weekend 2, day 2 or 3 – I added a floral headband (which is inexpensive and gives it that final touch) that brings the entire outfit together perfectly.

So with this look, I went for camel-colored snake skin print booties, they are totally fab and not to mention Kendall Jenner wore all snake skin booties this year to Coachella! Add some circle sunnies and your going from “basic bitch” to Basically Fab!

See you all next year at Coachella and in your cute outfits,

Just because I didn’t attend Coachella this year doesn’t mean I didn’t make my own Coachella while shooting these looks. I brought a speaker to the shooting site and started jamming to Tove-Lo on Pandora the entire time. Jessica Rivas, my photographer, loves when I become playful because it makes for better pictures so I did just that lol. When you think of Coachella, you think of: lace, crochet, fringe, chunky jewelry, killer sunnies, crop tops, and shorts.

I went with an all black look for this years day #1, black overall shorts and the best part about these overalls are the bottom! They have lace trimming ahhhhhhh. I paired them with a black crop top and a crochet, long cardigan which in my opinion adds that Coachella boho vibe. Fringe is a must (duh) but really, what about these Madden knee-length fringe gladiators? Are they perfect or are they perfect?! (lol). Thanks to my mommy for these, they were perfect as a birthday gift, Kisses to my Queen.

Accessories: Every girls fave! I went with a very chunky, statement necklace – so right for this look. I put on all the rings I could find, okay… lying I have a lot more but went with the most appropriate ones lol. Obviously my floppy hat called for the occasion, it’s perfect for this look and my John Lennon glasses – as I call them – which adds to the boho/hippie vibe.

Hopefully, this helped all my love bugs attending weekend #2 of Coachella or this can help you all for next years outfit! Trust me, none of these will go out of style for next year.

Valentine’s Day Outfit #2

The second outfit is for those couples that love to celebrate this day, dress up, and take Miami for what it truly is: a fun and adventurous night out. I paired a simple white dress from Forever 21, and added these divine red studded heels, that I revolved this look around. To add a little more spice to the outfit, I went with 2 simple gold necklaces, and a gold bracelet. I hope this helped some of you that were in a fashion block; even if you don’t have a bf you can totally still dress up, and take your mom or brother out on vday.

Valentine’s Day Outfit #1

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day, and what to wear omg help!!!???

image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image

Well, I’m here to make your life a little less hectic, and be a little more helpful. I decided on two outfits for today’s post: my first outfit is a casual/movie date, A pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, but this time they are a little more fitted, rather than the usual loose and baggy fit; I paired these Cotton On jeans with a plain white v- neck, also from Cotton On, which by the way, the material is like wearing clouds literally (lol). To add a bit of sexiness to the outfit, I spiced it up with nude strappy heels, and a matching clutch to give it a night life feel. To make it feel more Valentine’s Day-ish I added a red matte lipstick, and this gorgeous Channel inspired pearl necklace that I love, and it was just under $8.00. Enjoy your Valentine’s Day with whomever it shall be with that special night.

By far my favorite color for fall is: burgundy! It’s dark, mysterious, and devious. This slip-on dress is so beyond perfect and elegant … yet sexy. I gave you two looks on how to dress up this lace trim dress.

For the first look, over the dress is an oversized, off-white cardigan. A great wardrobe addition being that it can be paired with anything!!! To accessorize, a black hat to add a little sass, layered necklaces, and black heels (these in specific are are my most comfortable club heels!) 😉

For the second look, I think it leans more towards Miami. Throw on a jean jacket to spice up any outfit and it gives it more of a dinner-date feel. Fall calls for dark lipstick, and any little black bag. This outfit will be all over my Instagram just from how in love I am with it!

Oh, brownie points for me and taking chances on a online purchase orders! 🙂

imageIf you don’t own a pair of boyfriend jeans because you’re not sure what to wear them with, that’s all about to change. My first time seeing and purchasing boyfriend jeans, I was more confused than Alice and wonderland! Now, boyfriend jeans have become my go to jeans.

In order for me to wear boyfriend jeans, they need to be cuffed and rolled up – showing a bit of ankle. I prefer distressed denim, and I love going up sizes 2 or 3 sizes because it makes them feel like I borrowed my boyfriends jeans (lol). I actually went on the hunt for inexpensive ones, and ended up in TJ Maxx and ended up purchasing these bad boys from Free People for $15 bucks. Yes peeps, I said it, $15 instead of the original price of $90.00, What an extreme jaw dropper!

It’s very easy to lose a look with adding to many accessories; in the second look, I paired blacks, browns, and golds – very neutral, yet dressy. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed sharing it, bye babes!
